During these years as a doula, lactation consultant and business owner, I constantly expanded my knowledge of babies and children by continuing education classes in all fields of infant and child development from experts all over the world. I’ve taught classes to parents and caregivers and worked with families’ one baby (or sometimes two or three multiples) at a time. I’ve accumulated thousands of hours working side by side with these families. I’ve really lost count at this point!

For years I’d get calls from former newborn care clients I’d helped, calling back for sleep help for their babies four months and beyond. I began to help parents work through sleep issues of those non-textbook babies and toddlers for whom no book
on sleep learning would work… or parents who just needed sleep coaching to get
their babies to sleep all night.

What to do at bedtime when the baby won't sleep?

What to do at bedtime when the baby won’t sleep?

Thus the Lullaby Sleep Training program was officially born and continues today as I work with parents, local and far-flung, to establish good sleep habits for their babies and toddlers. Those parents are now gratefully sleeping all night, as are their children! Sleep habits are learned by the child. What parents need is to work together with a professional coach who is experienced and knowledgeable to help them help their babies learn to sleep. I have two focuses that guide my work. I like to work with parents directly, developing a personal and individualized relationship with new parents that educates and supports them in one-on-one private consultations as a baby consultant and/or baby sleep consultant. I also like to share my expertise with caregivers, through my professional classes and mentoring. Students who want to be professional caregivers find in my workshops a high level of expertise and professionalism to practice their work and an opportunity for certification.
